About Us

Pitaber is a family business of third generation of farmers, whose beginning dates back to 1950 with different types of crops throughout his career.

 The Pitaber group currently has more than 20 hectares in operation, dedicated to various crops such as bananas trees, vineyards and tropical fruits.

In 2005 the council of Tenerife, began a pioneering study at European level on the explotation of pitaya in the Canary Islands with the participation of Pitaber. During this process, the different varieties that we currently market were chosen.

Subsequently, in 2010 the first plantation was planted as an intensive farm and since then Pitaber has specialised in this crop and other tropical products.

The crop is grown in net greenhouses and in the open air, both with excellent quality. They are free of residues so as not to alter the benefits and properties that this fruit possesses.

Currently, we have 1 hectare of pitaya in certified organic cultivation and 4 hectares in conventional cultivation.

All of our fruit is marketed directly throughout Europe.
